European Agricultural Subsidy Payments: paying agencies’ checks on beneficiaries and reporting and information exchange among national and supra-national authorities on irregularities and suspected frauds.
On the morning of February 16th, we held the inaugural seminar of the Agricultural Frauds Detection (AFRADE) project. The insightful seminar delved into the intricate operational mechanisms of European Subsidy Payments, offering a comprehensive overview of the critical controls conducted by payment agencies. It illuminated the meticulous reporting procedures that underpin transparency and integrity within the system. The event brought together experts from academia, EU public institutions (Olaf), and Italian law enforcement, fostering a multidisciplinary dialogue at both national and European levels.
